It's a pretty big case! If i'm not mistaken (granted i'm not an expert) I think you should be fine. I don't have any ram clearance issues at all and I also have G.skill z trident ram. I have two big fans in the front, my radiator mounted on the top and one more fan in the back. I could certainly fit a bigger radiator up top.
I'll give that a shot. Thank you!
that was my exact thought. Thing is LEANIN
Awesome. I'll get one of those ordered tonight. Thanks for all the help! This has been an great experience thus far and i credit a lot of it to the great people on this forum.
Got it. I'll give it a shot. Should I add another intake fan somewhere?
May I ask why? I was trying to achieve positive pressure and flipping the rear fan to exhaust I thought would decrease my positive pressure. Am i mistaken in my thinking?
Thanks! I'll give that a shot as soon as i get home. Hopefully that remedies it.
Thanks! I am super impressed with the Phanteks case. While it's not super cheap (certainly not super expensive either) it's very substantial if you know what i mean? It also has quality components. The monitor is actually the es27. I love it. I stood int he store staring at a curved samsung monitor for $650 and i started to get a headache and really didn't see much a difference in picture quality so I went with that one.
I see you're a man (or woman) of culture. +1 for a sweet a build. JayzTwoCents also contributed to my build as well! Glad to see the community is so collaborative =]
Thanks!!! I appreciate all of your help I have greatly improved my build thanks to your recommendations and am looking to pull the trigger on my order this weekend. Looking forward to it. Thanks again!
I have a stupid question....Do I need an optical drive? I was just thinking about how to load the OS and I guess i could do it off of a usb. is it common place to not have an optical drive anymore? Or do most pcs have it and people don't list it because it's not super important to the pc?
Waves hand these aren't the wires you're looking for
repeats back "These aren't the wires i'm looking for"
Made some adjustments. How does this look? I took off the monitor as i'll just use one from home until I can get a nicer one. I tried to take from everyone's comments. I was concerned about only 128gb ssd so i bumped it to 256gb. Perhaps that is foolish? What does everyone think?
Apologies which one is? TheShadowGuy's build?
I have a keyboard and mouse that I can use so it's not necessary to include those. Monitor is needed and I imagine I could find windows OS for cheap somewhere (through uni or something of that nature). Honestly it will be a mix of school and gaming. Lots of programming and data analysis (goes without saying), perhaps some dabbling in crypto currency mining (not at all a priority just me thinking off the top of my head the kind of stupid things I might attempt). This is my very first PC Build so while I would like to think i'd try overclocking things that's not at the top priority of my list. I would say stable and reliable with performance is the right way to put it. Stable and reliable, but a potato is not what i'm going for if that make sense?
No need for the RGB case fans with this cooler?
I had just heard for CPU cooling it was better and more efficient. I've seen many of the higher end builds on here with it so I thought perhaps it was a better choice. What do you recommend?
Perhaps a stupid question so I apologize ahead of time; could this be modified slightly to have a black case and green led? This is an incredible build.
And what is the core difference between AMD and what's listed above so I understand and maybe can provide more information relevant to the questions at hand.
what other info can i provide? =] (It sounds rude when I type it, but i don't mean it to be rude at all lol). The gaming needs would be PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds, WOW, Overwatch, things of that nature.
