WOW. I didn't know you were using the 1080Ti version of the card. Even though it is thicker than my 1080, you still managed to get it to work. Black looks great on the card. I might need to copy how you routed your liquid cooler cable behind the 24 pin cables :D

+++++++1

I couldn't remove the red stripes. After I took off the shroud and led logo, I painted the red stripes black while still attached to the casing. I removed the red stripe led completely

Oh that was the lights from the Motherboard itself lol. The Asus z270-a Prime has that corner RGB for some reason. Hope this clears up any confusion :)

theres a connector right under the fan connector. all connected via screws. you do not have to take out the back plate this method.

the shroud was easy to remove. 4 screws that are all accessible between the fans. I detached the led part from "red stripes" completely. you'll also need a 6star screw for the rgb msi logo to cover the red part. I used a black sticker I had laying around and cut it so it covers it completely. 4 coats of plastidip each. All this without breaking the warranty sticker :D. I hope this helps

I used white Plasti-dip on the red shroud and black plasti-dip on the red stripes. Had an old sticker that was black and cut it so it fit the red part on the led
