Good catch. I actually don't have the from panel usb2 connected. I find the 2 usb3 ports are enough. I could have used an internal usb hub but didn't see any reason to need 4 front panel usb connectors.
My intention with this build is to use it for home theater. I already have a gaming pc and I don't see myself gaming on this one that often. That being said I did load Doom on it just to test it out and it seems to be handeling high settings at 1080p just fine. I'm hoping to find time to test it's gaming performance more thoroughly and run some benchmarks soon.
Thanks for the advice and glad there is another videographer here on PCPP. Ive always wanted to build a hackentosh just never got around to it. Ive never noticed a problem using prores footage in Premiere on my PC in the past but now that you have pointed it out I would love to do a side by side with Mac OS to see how the two compare.
Thanks. Glad you like it. A friend of mine helped me make them on his laser cutter. If you are interested in purchasing one I would need the exact dimensions of your card to make sure it is the same as mine. Send me a private message and I can see what I can do for you.
Glad you like them. I made them myself on my friends laser cutter. Its a two layer design, the bottom layer is silver and the top layer is white. We are actually working on a youtube video about how we made them. We have been talking about selling some so if you are interested in purchasing some send me a private message and I can see if it is something I could do for you.
Thanks. Your right about the rgb. I like having the flexibility to change the color scheme without having to change any components. The audio interface is a scarlett focusrite 2i2. I chose it because it is one of the few interfaces out there with separate speaker and headphone volumes.
I actually purchased this card a few months ago from newegg before the mining craze started. I'm glad i did. I can't believe how hard it is to find a 1070 for a good price right now!
