I was only able to test it for a short while before selling it to a friend, but it was running Modern Warfare at around 100 FPS at 1440p, and the 3600/1080 is definitely sufficient for 1080p 60fps streaming
I was able to find these on Amazon, there’s a number of brands selling them!
Yeah! With some wiggling you can barely fit a 15mm fan in both top and rear, though you have to slip the fan in before installing the cooler. I’m not using a rear fan though because my LED strip is in the way
I’m not sure if they changed the pump head or not with the new Krakens, but the older generation definitely did not fit between the PSU shroud
I already sold the PC, sorry! At least you have the parts list right there if you wanted to put a similar looking one together ;)
Kind of, the fans definitely make contact with the RAM when installing the AIO but with enough wiggling it's possible.
Ah I bought them at different times so I just entered what price they were when I got em. The HDD is shucked from an external drive, but I only for media storage so no worries there! And my mouse is the G-Wolves Hati, but I do actually have a Model O that I swap with.
Hey, I wish I could help but I've actually changed out my M22 to a Noctua D15 air cooler a little while ago, so I can't check how mine was mounted anymore. Sorry!
With the stock cooler and auto overclock it would peak at like 75C maybe? If I lowered the fan curve for lower noise it could easily reach 80+. However as of a few months ago I've upgraded to a 280mm liquid AIO with an NZXT Kraken G12 bracket, and now my GPU load temps don't go past 55.
Sure thing: https://imgur.com/a/o8IUORu
thanks! my desk is an Ikea linnmon. no it doesn't wobble at all, at least not from regular use! it does wiggle if you bump into it, but I think it's because I have carpet.
SUPERNIGHT adhesive LED strips from Amazon; they don't sync with the PC at all but come with their own IR remote allowing you to change or customize the color.
Hmm ok I think you'll need more power then. 600W should do it, maybe 550W but that's cutting it too close IMO. If you can still return the 500B, looks like a 600B is currently the same price: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/V9bp99/evga-power-supply-100b10600kr
and as far as I know there's nothing wrong with having extra power overhead, other than paying extra for nothing.
Try running your build by reddit at /r/buildapc, they're pretty good at helping troubleshoot or optimize things!
Yeah I overclocked my 6700k to 4.6GHz at a decently low vcore of 1.328v; haven't adjusted the voltage for my GPU, though it did come with a factory overclock. I heard you should add a ~40% ceiling to your estimated wattage, so if your build is I'm guessing around low/mid-300W then the 500B is completely suitable
Was on the fence about case LEDs until now. Welp, convinced me! Added a Hue+ and I love it! Zero ragret, my rig looks even cooler now! Thanks for the suggestion.
Ah ok, the light that's red only is just this thin Tron-esque line that goes around the bottom left corner, but it can be disabled off in BIOS while retaining functionality of the Aura LEDs. Added a pic.
PCB is black!
Real similar to my new build, I have a feeling we had the same white color requirement in mind when shopping for parts. Nice job!
Envious of how straight your GPU is - my Asus 1060 sags...
Might have looked better in a black S340 if you were going for a black and red theme? Though the white shows your RGB LEDs better. Also for your Hue+ I think it would look cleaner to stick that bottom row of LEDs onto the PSU shroud, underneath the window facing (so they'll be facing sideways, not upwards). The light strip will be out of sight, but the lighting will reflect from underneath into the case just as vibrantly.
For sure. I will say the LEDs are not bright enough to keep you up at night, as they're on the bottom of the board and the light bounces off the inside back of your PC case for a soft glowing effect. But the best you can do for an "off" mode is probably either red (easiest on the eyes in the dark) or a dim white, or else manually turn them off every time before powering down/sleeping.
lol yep, I needed some kind of weeb reference, so I went with Rem because of the white and blue color scheme.
