That's one sexy case.
Im mean it'll be great if they just sold a window replacement, seeing as the 400c uses a hinge mechanism. It would be great for existing 400c users and i think a lot of them would probably not upgrade their case if they could just add a tempered glass panel. The 400c is a pretty decent case overall, just lacking that tg
just some food for thought :)
I'm hoping for a TG window replacement for the Carbide 400c :((
Dont think itll ever happen though
Hey, what are the thermals like with this gpu (during gaming/benchmarking/other heavy load)?
500w is more than enough. The manufacturers put 500w because theres pretty much no way you'll run into problems with any setup when you have 500w. 500w is the manufacturers wiggle room
Oh thanks, 4 should be more than enough for me :)
I know this is really old but xfire and sli isn't that great of an option in terms of real world performance. It's better to just sell the current card and get some money to go towards a better single gpu because apparently not that many games support/are properly optimised for xfire and sli
Just some food for thought
It's the rx 480, it'll get 100s of frames in csgo and 100+ in overwatch. If you're only playing those games it's probably better for you to get the rx 460/1050/1050ti
With 300 I think it might be better to go for the pentium G4560 or wait for Ryzen 3, because the 1400+b350+8gb is already $280...or did you mean 300$ for the memory, motherboard and CPU?
Thinking about getting this board...could I ask how many fan headers there are?
I haven't heard of this either...idk :/
(You'll get flamed for that)
wow thanks for that speedy reply :D . what rpm % would you say it stays at during long gaming sessions...50? more? thanks a lot
Hey there, I know you're not really fully pushing the rx580, but could you tell me how loud this one gets whilst gaming? Thanks :)
ah thanks for the quick reply :)
if it was left to the default fan curve, do you know how hot/loud it gets?
also would you say it gets really loud with your custom fan curve?
hi, do u know how hot the gigabyte 580 gets?
ah thanks, looking forward to building in this case :)
Hey there, I know this is a pretty old thread, but I'm thinking of getting the 400c. Was originally going to get a p400s tg, but a local deal came up and I can get this for £40/~$52.
How easy is it to scratch this side panel?
this is so sweet dude +1 :D
[edit: just realised you built it already...derp]
1600 wins any day, in terms of value, performance and uses other than gaming. 1600 also comes with a stock cooler, potentially saving £20 or more. I recommend just going with a b350 motherboard (btw +RedRageTNT certain b350s have crossfire support, most dont have sli i dont think).
in terms of the gpu, between the 480/580 just get whatever is cheaper, but also make sure, particularly with the 480s, the card has decent cooling and isn't too loud if noise is a problem for you.
the wraith spire cooler is apparently really capable, similar to a 212 evo apparently. People are saying keep the 1600 permanently at 3.6/3.7ghz (or whatever the turbo frequency is) with the wraith spire and just leave it at that, getting 1600x performance for a significantly lower price, unless you opt for a better cooler and overclock higher. tbh you could probably reach 3.9-4.1ghz with this cooler...but im not sure
Im also looking to build a 1600, rx 480 4gb build in the p400s tg probably in the next couple of months
oh cool thanks :)
hey there just want to ask about the PSU...looking at the pics, all of the cables are black sleeved right?
(also does it get rly loud)?
Thanks for the reply. Yeah right now its basically the cheapest 480 4gb apart from the dual, and i think i'd rather get the gigabyte than the asus dual (looks better in general imo).
also did you just use the gigabyte bios update tool, and if so which one did you use- "Easy Boost utility" or "VGA@BIOS utility"?
oh hi did u flash a bios (f8 version i think) on ur graphics card or do u know if it came with it out of the box...because most of the reviewer hate comes from a bad bios in which the fan speed would still be at ~40% at 80C.
just wondering because im thinking of getting this card and not sure if i would need to flash the bios myself
thanks for the reply :)
apparently it's only a bios update needed to fix a bad fan curve (reddit says it would have a 30% fan curve at 80 degrees)
I'm also thinking of getting this rx 480, because its the cheapest one atm, but reviewers have said the thermals are really high, yet reddit has said its a bad fan curve...is it actually 85c under load?
Just a few questions about the asus dual rx480 4gb:
How hot does the card get under load...have you seen any thermal throttling?
Is it Really loud, as in stereotyped "jet plane taking off" amd card? This model i mean.
Also out of interest does it have the fan thingy where it doesnt spin until ~60 degrees, or are the fans constantly on?
Motherboard: CPU! TIME TO COMBINE!
i7: But...but...we can't
Motherboard [grabs i7 and places it in the 1151 socket]
What...what is this?!
i7 has gained control of the pc
¯_(ツ)_/¯ just had to
pretty much what I was gonna say
1 stick is better for upgrading in the future without having to worry about your slots being full or changing the sticks
well...an i5 7600k, k, + 480 8gb, +8gb ram...
it runs everything at 1080p im guessing, unless the game is horribly unoptimised. rx480 and the 1060 will run nearly all games at 1080p, as they were 'made for the masses' and the 8gb version will still perform pretty well in 1440 too.
