the motherboard dead
i tried it before, you know what, the cpu temp run as 70-73 degree when i play bf4, the cpu clock cycle will be slowing down to low the wattage which reduce the heat. In the another word, cpu will be slowing down. lower perfomace.
x79 is better than AMD build. it cost more.
I just want to save money for my second build. so I try amd. but i regreeeeeeet. i should go for haswell i5 for this build.
NEVER ever try amd.
my amd cpu couldn't stable at 3.9ghz. come on . my x79 stable with 4.7ghz.
i still keep my old build. she just lost one GPU. it is not big deal.
the new build will be sitting on my bedroom.
the old build always sit on living room.
GTX770 x2, just don't make a lot different when i play game. i mean ultra setting. only 2gb ram.
I don't play a lot game. i just want to gave AMD one more chance to let me believe it.
I am so disappoint. i will never buy AMD CPU.
the cooler master fan can bring enough air to the gpu. I did the test. it helps my gpu under 80 degree. the cpu usage will be around 97-98%, the gpu clock speed always on the max.
only 2g ram, but work well with high setting when i play watchdog.
got it from microcenter
For the AIO cooler, you should take air into the case. try to mount on the top of your case.
I used Coolmaster high RPM fan, it just like hyper evo 212's fan.
but it won't work. so replace with AIO cooler.
my life can't without SSD. it makes so much different.
Thanks for that. I will wait for good PSU with super discount price for now.
My CPU can reach to 60+ degree when I play game. whole system will shut off with 60 seconds.
I replace air cooling solution by exchange the cooler with my another build.
coolmax psu $54.99-$20 (rebate)
Default setting: clock speed 1046Mhz. Memory speed 1800Mhz
Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0

I actually switch back to air cooling now.
they got same performance. but air cooling is much quiet when pc is Idle.
Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0
no, pump make high frequency sounds.
I will save $50 for case and $40 for air cooling.
add $90 for GPU .
banding cables too much, not recommend
6 cores i7 is awesome, but too expensive . just wait price cut.
I am not a gamer. I wanna use this PC for 5-10yrs periods. working purpose.
I am truly believe 6 or 8 cores will be main stream CPU. So I can swap my current CPU for better CPU.
only GPU and RAM from newegg.
dual channel mother board or processor. just need for 2x16gb /2x8gb if you wanna. better.
normal price for build for this one. you may check local store. like micro center, fry's. summer time, they have better ideals for sometime.
Check my build, I may have better price match for your budget. I got GTX 770 for $307 + watch dog game free from newegg. I gonna swap out my current GPU.
like a charismas gift. awesome and powerful.
but it is quiet. I went to bestbuy, they have sample of evga 600w same model, I check detail about that, it didn't show that is quiet PSU. but I read Corsair 750W, it shows noise will low as 18bd before reach to 60% power supply. I also check that old PSU. it got auto thermo control fan, but it won't work at all. always full speed running. problem product, I just returned back into fry's.
price like 59 Vs. 79. I decide go for quiet one or powerful.( I means I like the module style. I already ordered EVGA 600w, but I will return back to Amazon. Thanks for your help!!
i just replace with Corsair 750W ATX12V, bcz it more quiet. it is module.
get Samsung SSD 250gb only $139
don't spend case $149. you can choose 49 for cooler master for same performance.
buy windows 8.1 pro student update pack for 69.99. ( you must install previous windows version before install update pack, no matter activate or nor.) (previous windows version can be windows 8/7)
i think Asus X79 should able auto tuning overclork to 4.7ghz for your system.
overall. you should save some money.
I got average 58.8dB reading when I put the decibel meter near by chassis ( I manual turn off all chassis fans and mini speed of cpu fan.)
I turn max all fans including CPU fan only make 62.1db.
most of noisy come from the PSU.
by the way. thanks for your advise. I just need wait for shipping from amazon. I don't have a lot choices when I walk into fry's.
Just buy it from amazon. I hope that don't make noisy. I hate my current PSU. too noisy. most of noisy come from PSU.
I am thinking about more silent PSU to replace with it. any advice for that. under $100
anyone have advise for temp for my motherboard or CPU. I can manual control Fans speed to maintain chassis temp.
room temp:30 degree
I can keep motherboard for 34-38 degree. CPU for 32-35 degree.
but the auto tuning fan software came from the asus set my motherboard to 36-40 degree. Cpu for 32-45 degree.
I don't know how it that work, but I don't think it will make any different. even that is unreliable brand. it at list past UL test under their promise 700w.
U.S. regulation isn't useless.
that's a reason that I choose Asus X79 for sure that I can stable overclock.
Asus x79 got 4 temp sensors for and high performance voltage control.
this is they promise.
for windows 8.1 pro 64bit for 69.99. you must install windows 8 ( no active)
buy the student edition windows 8.1 pro update version. click update. you will get 199.99 windows 8.1 pro for 69.99.
you save $130 + tax.
psu is 700w
PSU quality. I don't know, but I can't sure every PSU got perfect quality.
you can spend like 79 for psu. but I think that is waste. PSU is not high tech product. just made of coils and capacitors. everything is made in china. you even know what brand of capacitors that they use.
I have motherboard 2 yr protection plan. 5 yr intel cpu warranty. and 2 or 1 yr gpu warranty.
I don't think it will make a lot different.
I use 700w for 350w system.( it won't overload or overheat)
yes you can, but what about future update. you may change everything if you wanna super computer later. every single item has price with their performance. so check with what you need. if you are gamer, sorry that is not for you. you may need 1105 motherboard with haswell
I don't have enough money for other expansion cards.
I can't spend over 2000 for pc now
but I will add later when the price drop or save money from now.
I use Microsoft Visual application for software programs and other graph programs at same time.
when the full load. the cpu rise to 45 or 50. but most of time is low when I switch fan to full mode. the cpu never over 50 degree.
I think 700w psu is enough for my pc.
I don't even like HDD. 250SSD is okey for my system ( I don't like every single files save in my pc. I will use encrypt SDD hard drive to store my business file.
For the case. cooler master case is awesome. I can have 200mm mega fan flow air downward for cooling down Motherboard control unit ( local at top of motherboard.)
for the motherboard, MSI motherboard is only $180 + protection 2 yrs plan for 49.99. but I would like asus motherboard bcz it boost the memory and Hard drive speed. it little be expensive for $328.99, but you have to think about future update.( I will add second Graph card, and other Rams and others.)
I got 2 cooling fans on the heating sink
