How was ur PCI-E oem cable, or did you get a 3rd party one? Mine was **** causing asus 6 gene q core 99
Ive just found a case for another pc i decided to build, thanks
I like your title
i know this is a dead revival from over 35 months ago, but, AMDs heat issues and the power draw are no go, plus benchmarks say it all, even if u got with the fx-6350(i used to own)
people go Intel for reliability and stability, he chose a great cpu and a great mobo.
i have an overclocked evga 980gtx SC running stable under 65c, build it over 1 year ago still going strong.
build looks awesome for the money
Dont worry about late, im not one of those idiots that hate it when u revive a thread from death. always glad to head questions/changes id to and stuff from all this time that passed. i just wish there was a way to edit the build so i can have it updated to the latest i have it at.
I had it in RAID 0 at 1st on the 250gbs before, that was the main reason, and multiple pc options in case u update., then later became steam library ONLY on it. u can always use the 2nd drive on another machine, not if u have 1 500gb ;)
At the time 840evo 250's were the best bang for the buck quality ssd's.
I got the system setup with 1tb 850 pro now, so everything fits on one with the OS on it as well. I still think its better/faster when steam was on a separate drive than like now on the 1tb with the os on it as well, i might change it back to OS on the 250 and Steam library on the 1tb, i had issue with TF2 playing music over mic feature, and it had to be on the C drive(os drive) which is why i put everything on the 1tb.
Use one of the 840evo 250gb for system snapshot and video recording(bandicam, premiere pro edits - as a temp buffer drive )stuff, the other is in my gaming laptop for lan parties :)
1Tb green strictly music archive.
3TB (st3000dm001-9yn1) for random non organized crap to be organized.
500gb 10k raptor (wd5000hhtz-04n21) for organized drive, like programs with programs, pdfs with pdfs, google drive, pc drivers.
Second reason was if i upgrade to different drive, usually u end up not needing more than 128gb so 250 was plenty for half a month trips, etc.
sorry if some stuff above was kinda not making sense or something, 4:30am sleepy and tired, wanted to check email before i hit the sack. have to work on my evo in the morning
i use case controls, u can make it work the way u said but ull have to cut individual fan controller wires to do that, i got tired of lights the 1st hour i had it working. lights are more of a gimmick or a showcase lol
my recommendation is dont get the NZXT fan controller and get a lower wattage PSU, ram u dont even need 16gb. other than that its an awesome build
the PSU if SUPER overkill cuzz now a days stuff uses less and less power
Do it in the way i did it and youll make it work :)
ssd rip off u can get 240gb of samsung 840 evo or sandisk 240 gb ultra 2s
i understand u purchased stuff already, but saying it costs 300 is not a true fact *** the parts purchased are way over. I will rate up though for the guts :)
Sweat combos :D
u do realize u can override the prices on pcpartpicker to match the prices u spend $ actually on to give us idea how much it all costs in Philippines
the Razer Kraken Pro, looks like u can afford
fx6350 is best for $ but ye i agree with u on 6300
SSD, get rid of the HDD. put 120gb ssd then use other hdd's to store stuff. buy cheapest/best performance for the money. i can recommend Silicon Power ssd cheap as hell and perform very well. you cant go wrong with a samsung 840 evos for the price/performance factor - i use em in my main build
Fully dedicated budget Modded Minecraft Server build, as well as Terraria when Modded MC is not running. Running Primo Dataram Ultimate
also why did u rank ur mobo as 3* ?
nice and clean, i love it
Why such a big case for the mobo, just wondering? I'm putting parts together using A6-6420k for a dedicated 8-16gb ram build, any recommendations on what ud have done differently to improve performance.(reply to this reply)
also what is ur mc like, i mean the mods plugins and OS etc with mysql and etc, not asking names just asking the quantities of the stuff to see how overloaded the system is
ello ello :D
did not change out the fans, took only the top one out to install radiator.
I like the case fans there pretty good :D I updated the pictures, last one showing average temps when not playing games and pc ON for about 3 hours(i know it shows uptime of 1.33hours) to watch videos online with 6 tabs open and some minor file transfers and around 60gb of steam installation :D
link to pic below and pic added to picture of build:
Hello there Sexy Snow White
nice idea for HDD cooling +1
WOW full open glass front awesome case u got there
L.O.V.E the RAM the 850 pro and the front interior clean setup _^
Nice build :)
sorry i keep for emergency ;)
WOW, thats for the heads up, didnt realize it cuzz i assumed it was only x8 in SLI mode because feature said that it auto selects. I went to check manual and you are correct my friend :D thanks. pics below are from that it said auto, and diagram what actually is x8 and x16. THANKS AGAIN :) i appreciate it.

i see :)
look at the date on the greens ;) ran tests with HD Tune without errors, been running them in netgear nas in raid 1. it was a price factor that i was lured for heheh
exactly my saying, the ram as RAMDISK is the only reason i got 32gb. I edit Adobe Premiere and occasionaly photoshop, so its a great rig + with the ability to sli in future is also a plus
RAMdisk thats the only reason i got. you dont wanna see what it looks like behind there LOL trust me heheh
ye like a white sheep in the mids of black :D
its optional. but, gpu was put in this way cuzz of ram cooler
i keep em for other stuff or as backup ;)
i googled it lol
open that window when the beast is ON :D
nice and clean :3
ill stick to good al Win 7 till 10 comes out and i test it and like it, then maybe ill upgrade
tech will always advance, u wont ever (EVEEEER) catch up to it. just set a goal with cash then the day u get it all, to and buy ;)
I would recommend a full modular or at least semi modular psu for the win
it looks pretty well balanced
as long as it does what u want it to do.
ive just set the goal to get it in 2 months, and achieved it.
usually every 2 years id go out and shop for new systems (part by part) buying average stuff. this time wanted to cap it, as my new goal is the Evo. had it back in 2010, missed it much, time to get it back :D
u want to have wifi on it?
u want to have a non generic sfx on it?
EVGA 10year warranty on GOLD PLUS PSUs
toms hardware = respect B)
with tech advancing like an explosion, i doubt ull be satisfied with ur current build in 4 years that ur planning to build.
id set a budget, then pick cpu/mobo/ram same price with doubled on the gpu if single as u can see in my build.
did u want X99 chipset? what do u have now?
you bet :)
I steam game, ramdisk from ram for Minecraft, edit/transcode videos, some music editing, O_O watching anime ;)
