Here are those full tests and benchmarks. ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg7T5A9PJFI
Just regular use on GTA5 on Ultra for a few hours.
Haha. I may have been. But I'm definitely broke now.
Yes it would have, but barely. The heat spreader at the top of my motherboard was pressing tightly up against the side of the fan and I was uncomfortable with it. Other motherboards with lower profile upper heat spreaders will do just fine, also.
Not every 7700K can quite hit 5ghz. I might try in the near future. I'm pretty sure that the h100i v2 can keep it cool enough at 5ghz. I have it under a medium load right now. Dual 1080p monitors, A game on one screen, monitoring software and browser and some other things on the other and its hovering around 38C - 42C. I'll put it through some intense benchmarks later to check thermals further.
4.6 so far.
Oh I see. My bad man.
I don't quite remember the air cooler temps. I'm thinking idle in the 30's or 40's...ish? As of this writing with the Deepcool AIO my CPU temp is bouncing right around 18 - 22C with a few minor things open. Light use.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it seems your two sticks of RAM are in the first two slots. For dual channel, shouldn't they be in 1 and 3? I might be wrong? Great build though man.
I'm not usually a fan of the crazy multi-colored RGB builds. But I have to hand it to you man. This build is done right. I think this build looks fantastic. Excellent work buddy.
I pulled out the big air cooler and went with a Deepcool Captian 360mm rad. Much better cooling in place now. Thanks for the advice!
Cooler is a bit flashy. I'm a Transformers fan. No pun intended. lol. I also did indeed drop the drives and just add a bigger one. Still working on upgrading the graphics card. Probably gonna go with a 480 for this build. Cable management totally redone. Much cleaner. Thanks for the advice!
Thanks! I took your advice. Much cleaner look!
