I so want to build in this to replace my CM ELITE 130 HTPC, but I would just transfer the parts & go H2O cooling. I love this cooler-elegant. Nice job!
For starters you should always check clearance space for HEAT SINKS & GPU's. As far as Heat Sinks go I personally only used Cryorig http://www.cryorig.com over the past few years. PSU you could of gotten an EVGA 650w gold for that price. With that CPU I would of gone with a 400 series MOBO, but still overall nice build.
Yes the CM Storm Trooper I had was black & beast with lots of room. Recently donated it to a non profit. Thou like you I upgraded for the tech & aesthetics. Hope your new build turn out to how you want it.
I have been using this for my HTPC for the past couple of years. Can't complain no cable. Thou I would love to upgrade to the Phanteks Evolve Shift. This may not be a pretty but it gets the job down & I have a DVD player attached to it.
Your case comes with Two 200mm RGB Fans and Controller. You should check your user manual with this case. It should have that info. If you wanted RGB lighting maybe get some RAM that has it embedded or change the cooler to a Cryorig H7 Lumi. There is the H7 Ultra that was at CES 2019. Deep Cooler also has an RGB cooler. Good job on the build, who is the Anime character?
I have to give it to you. Good job on the cable management. Strix is a good choice. I didn't build my dream PC but its adequate, but I had to build a better work space hence the IKEA HACK & floor mat. Just need a new chair now. Take a look.
Seems pretty tight for what you are using it for, but I am guessing you bought this FULL ATX for its modular shape. But if not there are better cases that would give you all the space you need even in the Mid Tower range ex. Cooler Master -Master Case series. Iam partial to MasterCase MC500Mt which is what Iam currently using. However this is still a solid build. Check mine out if you have time.
The Elite series from Cooler Master you can actually get for under $50. I went with Ikea Hack for my desk. Glass gets to many fingerprints. You can check mine out above.
I know what you mean about last build for a while for myself. Build for the future. Nice clean look, I thought about doing the braided cable look-nice fad. But decided against it as long its a clean look.
Man if that is all she is going to do I probably would of went with a MINI ITX, space saver and all-COOLER MASTER ELITE SERIES maybe. But the ram fits for use LOL!
Ah nice build, 1st thing I thought was PURPLE RAIN! Iam one tier down from your monitor. I was concern with the base being to wide & didn't really care for the LED on the monitor (thought it was a bit gimmicky), thou it has some good features about it & can be turned off. It did have a good showing last year @ 2018 CES.
So everyone else pretty much beat the overkill horse. But that monitor came out like 4 yrs ago. You spent this much, but I would of look at MSI possibly - Optix MAG27C . You get a lot & most of them are consider mid-range monitors. Your GPU is defiantly better than mine. Check above if you would like.
Fractal has done a nice job with this case. You took a lot of pics, clean set up & you kept it under your budget. But I bet you got it lower than what is displayed especially with MicroCenter & Best Buy. I know I did, check above.
Hey just pointing this out. I would be a little concern with the airflow of your GPU & that white fan directly underneath it. May cause a cooling issue, if its a fan. But not a bad build for budget. AMD all day.
Budget not likely. Anything over $1k isnt' budget LOL! Always prefer AMD myself. Not a bad set up, simple, clean, & easy! Check mine out if you have a moment.
As you mentioned MicroATX cases. If this is meant to be a HTPC/GAMING. I would consider CoolerMaster Elite 130, Elite 120 Advanced White, Elite 120 Advanced. Space saver INDEED & more than adqueate for what you use it for. But to each their own. I have the Elite 130 in my living room. No cable, just Netflx, Hulu Plus, Kodi, & Plex.
