Im worried about the PSU + OCing. It could be the other hardware but I have to push 1.45v just to hit 4ghz+ , and sometimes when I game the PC crashes ,or sometimes when I do a cinebench bench it just shuts off. AIDA also shows voltages higher than all 3V @ 3.3, 12v @ 12.4 , etc etc
I cannot afford a better PSU right now because Ineed to sell my old rig and fury X to get funds for the best VEGA chip offers. I have a Corsair CS650M but thats 100w less but gold rated. Any suggestions?
Vega crossfire is the idea, depending on their core clocks and VRAM. if I can get a 8GB or 16GB single, ill pass on xfire
Thanks I love it, my intel 6700k build (if you look at my username builds) is just collecting dust after I got this beast, although I may have to sell it to get top end vega card.
I swap a lot between blue and purple and a mixture of the two! Thanks!
Thank you so much! I have some others to thank though too.
Yes it did, took ages to get that score.
I got a fury X for free, not sure if you can look at my parts list if I don't mark them completed but you'll see soon, all of PCPP WILL SEE SOON MUAHAHA
HWinfo has always given me the most reliable readings, that and AiDa64 work well too.
Its good but not CRAZY GOOD. hardware swap I've seen them as low as 440-450, but still a beautiful deal. I'm sad I might have to upgrade from my RX480 if I get the Omen 1440p 32in monitor this month. Fury x is my only option.
Maybe I'm high on Ambien before bed or something... But your insides look like the environment from Firedtrike benchmark. Hard to explain exactly how, but look deeper.
I would definitely get an after market CPU cooler. Intel stock coolers are no good for k series. Don't fret though, I use a 35 dollar Hyper D92 CPU cooler for my 6700k @ 4.6ghz and get 77C max under full stress. Otherwise build looks nice, how is 4k TV for PC? I currently use 1080p TVs for my build but my 32 in is getting pixel burned, so I'm considering a budget 4k TV, as monitors are too dumb expensive
Thanks for that, another favorite of mine... sky blue. Man I wish I could update my build. I want vega GPU. Custom sleeves, and maybe an AIO
Holy **** its beautiful man, wonderful colors.
Nice man, love seeing custom loops in SFF cases! Lot of power, little space. Love it!
Then so RM series or even CS650M or 550M. Both are gold cert and will treat your components nicely. Nonetheless, awesome build!
Also don't buy another CX series PSU, they are very low quality. I got a CS650M for 49.99 from newest, microcenter also has RM corsair series for like 60 bucks. CX isn't any good from what i hear. I love my 650m though.
Some friend you have there, my friends won't even buy me a pack of gum let alone a 1070 haha, awesome build! I upgraded from an AMD APU too, to a 6700k, love it
God damn it man...
It's ******* beautiful. If I went to sleep right now and tried to dream of a dream build, it would be this. Maximum power, minimum space, yet still clean as ****, and a custom loop. You sir, are great, and so is your build. +1 x 1,000,000
I don't think it would have for him, he didn't say much about gaming and said that the Rx480 was even beyond his needs. Not to mention his budget. Anyway man, if you see this reply... sick build!! I love my 480 and that 5960x! Beautiful.
I'd like to see some cable management but otherwise great build. I love battling the 5820k in benchmarks even though most times I lose. Haha
Very clean build for a first timer. Good job man!
They have Corsair ones for $50 USD on Amazon, but it doesn't include 24pin
Sweet part list man, you definitely didn't pull any stops. Clean execution as well
Why not a z170/z270 chipset? Kind of defeats having unlocked CPU but otherwise ... Niiiice n clean build man... Gj
I second this, also get some red or red+black custom sleeved cables and watch the ascension begin
That monitor dude!! Send it my way, I'm stuck using my TVs because I don't like anything smaller than 30inches and can't find anything affordable at 30in+ and that build is sick man! Badass! Sit that next to an Xbox one and you couldn't tell the difference besides the 25x raw compute power haha. Nicely done sir. Nicely done.
Sexy! Starting to really wish I went ITX instead of mATX. Can't find any good portable mATX cases.
Congrats, stick with it and don't give up. I started building when I was 11 and teenage and early adult years and partying set me back on my passion.. Now at age 25 I'm relearning. Tech is like fashion, it's always changing, so keep up or step back! Awesome build bud! Keep it up, looking forward to seeing the one you build for your bro
What others say is true I hope you plan on upgradingnsocket / cpu
Nice build, enjoy it! Looking forward to seeing your upgrades
Feature! It's beautiful dude. I have a Micro atx build and wanted to change case to Manta but I'm not good at custom mods so I don't think it'll fit. Next best option is Prodigy M but it doesn't fit my CPU cooler.
Actually I've been reading since ReLive most recent update, RX480 does better, has more vram, and better in DX12
Wonderful part combinations. Beautiful build with that CPU/GPU
My dream... Beautiful!
Oh no I meant the pic without them on is even gorgeous! Haha
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT CASE. Omg what an amazing build. 110% mys tyle of building. I wish I could fit my partsinto that case. Cant even see the PSU. Seriously +1 x 1000. Cant compliment that build enough. My dream size.
I second this, I'm sure it functions but its an odd placement choice. Otherwise great build! The skylake and kaby lake i7s are a dream to run. I'm sure the 1070 is too!
Beautiful mod and build. Did you crossfire a 4850 1gb ddr3 and 4870 1gb ddr5? How's that work?
Clean & beauiful parts. Nice job!
Not too great, under ultra textures and a 1325 / 8400 OC and heavy gaming I max at about 85C @ about 2200rpm as I like to keep it relatively quiet. Thanks, it was a quick mod but I'd like to believe I did what I could given the tools available.
Lol 50c-60c is normal in my book. My 6700k hits around 62-67C with a 4.6GHz OC during gaming.
Love that 1070, is that an international brand?
Beautiful! Skylake 6700k is a dream of a CPU, and kaby lake isn't much different. I used to love AMD CPUs but damn the 6700k is so much fun to push to its limit.
Sweet build! Live the RX480 and I will say it is a friggan blessing to run it alongside DDR4 memory and Sky/Kaby lake i7s. Wait til you experience it. If you check out my build its similar but is SFF. Velcro rolls will help with cases that don't allow any cablr management like mine, shows examples.
Enjoy your build, isn't it so damn fun building?
Because that ***** is cheap and STILL gets the job done
Beautiful. Love seeing builds that look stunning even without LEDs or RGB
Just... Just... Beautiful. That processing power man... Its gotta be great! Clean too!
